Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Aunt Jemima self-rising white cornmeal
    3/4 c. milk
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Combine ingredients; mix well.
    Heat vegetable oil (approximately 2-inches deep) to 375\u00b0.
    Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonful into hot vegetable oil.
    Fry a few at a time, until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Makes about 2 dozen.
    They are delicious.
