Shahi Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. basmati rice
    1 stick butter or clarified butter
    cinnamon stick, crushed
    2 bay leaves
    6 pods cardamon
    6 cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. raisins
    2 Tbsp. pistachios
    2 Tbsp. almonds
Preparation
    Wash the rice and set aside to drain.
    Heat the butter in a nonstick pan.
    Add cinnamon stick, cardamon pods, bay leaves and cloves and stir for 1 1/2 minutes.
    Add salt and water (8 cups) to rice, then bring to boil, stirring it a couple of times.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Add raisins, almonds and pistachios.
    Cook, covered, for 10 minutes.
    Serve piping hot.
