Curried Shrimp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. medium shrimp
9 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
1/2 c. chopped celery
5 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
3/4 tsp. salt
3 c. milk
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 c. chopped pimento
Preparation

Drop shrimp into boiling water in saucepan.
Return to a boil; reduce heat.
Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes or until done to taste; drain and rinse with cold water.
Chill in refrigerator.
Peel and devein shrimp.
Melt butter in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stir in curry powder, parsley, green pepper and celery.
Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add flour, garlic salt and salt; mix well.
Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly; reduce heat.
Stir in milk gradually.
Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Add shrimp and pimento. Heat to serving temperature, stirring constantly.
Yield:
10 servings.
