Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Mix sugars and milk until dissolved.
    Put on low fire, stirring constantly.
    Cook to soft ball stage, then add butter and pecans and cook 2 or 3 minutes more.
    Remove from heat; add vanilla and beat with wooden spoon until cool and thick.
    Pour out by spoonfuls on waxed paper.
