3 Tbsp. sugar
6 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter
2 c. coconut
2 egg whites
4 Tbsp. sugar
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Cool Whip
Preparation

Combine sugar, flour and salt; add milk and egg yolks and stir until smooth.
Add coconut.
Cook until thick.
Beat the egg whites until foamy.
Add sugar gradually and beat until stiff; fold in hot mixture.
Pour in baked pie shell and refrigerate. Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with coconut.
