Mother Wheeler'S Gingerbread(Best Ever Tasted) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves spice
1 c. boiling water
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
dash of salt
2 well beaten eggs
Preparation

Mix together sugar, shortening and molasses.
Add spices, then boiling water.
Stir together.
Sift, then measure flour and sift with soda and salt into the mixture.
Beat well, then add last the 2 well beaten eggs and beat thoroughly.
Pour into a long cake pan that has been greased on the bottom and lightly floured before pouring the batter into the pan.
Bake in a preheated moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes until tested done.
