Clara'S Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 tsp. coconut flavoring
    1 can coconut
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. coconut flavoring
Preparation
    Cream shortening and 2 cups sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
    Add 1 1/2 teaspoons coconut flavoring and coconut. Bake in greased angel food pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
