Zesty Lamb Chili - cooking recipe

1 lb. ground lamb
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, thinly sliced
1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. crushed dried red chili
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
2 (15 oz. each) cans pinto beans or red kidney beans
shredded Cheddar cheese
chopped onion
Preparation

Brown lamb well in its own drippings in large, deep frying pan.
As lamb browns, mix in onion, celery and green pepper, cooking over medium heat until onion is soft and lightly browned. Spoon off fat.
