Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 c. candied cherries
2 c. chopped dates
Preparation

Cream margarine, sugar and eggs; stir in buttermilk.
Sift flour and soda together; add to creamed mixture.
Fold in pecans, cherries and dates.
Drop small amounts onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yields 6 dozen cookies.
