* Pocahontas Pie * - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    1 lb. can pumpkin
    1 egg, separated
    1/2 c. half and half
    1/3 c. plus 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 (7 oz.) can Reddi-Wip
Preparation
    Combine pumpkin, egg yolk, half and half, 1/3 cup brown sugar, salt and spices in a heavy saucepan.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Sprinkle gelatin over surface and let stand 5 minutes.
    Bring entire mixture to a full boil, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and add marshmallows; stir until melted.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Fold in egg white, beaten to a meringue, with 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
    Put in cooled shell.
    Chill in refrigerator several hours.
    Just before serving, top with Reddi-Wip.
