Grits Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. grits
    3 Tbsp. hot milk
    2 Tbsp. onion, chopped fine
    1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
Preparation
    Combine grits, milk, onion and salt in a medium size bowl. Beat yolks until thick and lemon color.
    Stir yolk and cheese into mix.
    Pour into a greased casserole dish.
    Set casserole in a baking pan and pour boiling water in pan to a depth of 1 inch. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serve immediately.
    Serves 6.
