Peppermint Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box 10x sugar
    2 to 3 tsp. peppermint extract
    1/4 c. evaporated milk
    3 Tbsp. butter, softened
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    coating chocolate
Preparation
    In bowl, combine 10x sugar, butter, peppermint extract and vanilla.
    Add milk and mix well.
    Roll into one-inch balls and place on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
    Chill for 20 minutes. Flatten with the palm of hand to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Chill for an hour.
    Dip into coating chocolate; place on waxed paper until chocolate is set.
    Yield: Approximately 5 dozen.
