South Georgia Cabbage(By Martha Cass) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium head cabbage
3/4 c. chopped celery
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
2 Tbsp. melted margarine
1 c. rich milk (half and half)
1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
seasoning to taste
Preparation

Cut cabbage into quarters or eighths and cook in a little salted water for about 7 minutes or until tender.
Discard water. Chop cabbage fine.
Melt margarine in covered saucepan and put celery, peppers and garlic in pan.
Cook over real low heat until vegetables are tender.
Mix with chopped cabbage.
Now stir in the rich milk, the shredded cheese and the salt and pepper as needed. Put into buttered baking dish and bake at 300\u00b0 for 1/2 hour. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top and cook for another 15 minutes.
