Seven Minute Icing For Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. water (1/4 c.)
    1 Tbsp. corn syrup or Karo
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all except flavoring well and place in top of double boiler.
    Then place in boiling water.
    Beat with electric beater or hand beat until it stands in a peak.
    Add vanilla and spread.
