Wonder Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg whites
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. unsalted crackers, broken into bite size pieces
    2 c. chopped walnuts
    15 oz. can cherry pie filling
    8 oz. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Beat egg whites
    to foam.
    Add sugar gradually until stiff. Fold crackers and walnuts into egg whites.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes. Cool 1 hour. Pour cherry pie filling on top and spoon Cool Whip over cherries. Chill and cut into squares.
