No Added Fat Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. corn meal (self-rising)
    1 c. skim milk
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice (optional)
    2 egg whites
    1 Tbsp. oil (optional)
    Pam or Mazola baking spray
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    If you want the cornbread to be like buttermilk cornbread, add the lemon juice to the skim milk and let it set for about 3 minutes.
    Add all ingredients and stir well. Spray nonstick baking pan with baking spray and bake at 400\u00b0 until top is brown.
    If you do not mind extra fat, I heat 1 tablespoon oil in a seasoned iron skillet
    in the oven and when it is hot, take it out and add mix.
    This gives it a kinda-sorta crusty bottom.
