Picante Salsa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 lbs. ripe tomatoes, scalded, peeled, and chopped
    3 mild green chilies, chopped
    1 large Spanish onion chopped
    1 med. green pepper chopped
    1 med. red pepper chopped
    3-6 canned whole jal. peppers, chopped
    5 1/2 oz. tomato paste
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tablespoon coarse pickling salt
    2 teaspoons paprika
    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to boil; cut down to medium. Cook for 70 min. Stir occasionally, until thicker. Makes 5 pints.
