Golden "Midas" Dog Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. dry milk
1/3 c. Crisco shortening
1 Tbsp. instant bouillon
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 c. quick rolled oats
1/4 c. yellow corn meal
1 egg, slightly beaten
Preparation

Combine flours, powdered milk, oats and corn meal.
Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in egg.
Stir bouillon in hot water until dissolved.
Slowly pour into flour mixture.
Stir with fork to moisten.
Form ball and knead on floured board about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Divide dough in half and roll out 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut out cookies with dog bone shaped cookie cutter.
Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 minutes on one side.
Turn over biscuits and bake for 15 minutes more on other side.
