Date Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chopped dates
    1 qt. chopped pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    4 eggs
Preparation
    Boil sugar and butter. Let cool. Roll dates in flour. Add eggs and vanilla to sugar mix. Stir in dates and flour a little at a time. Add pecans. Bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
