Caramel Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box light brown sugar
    1 1/2 blocks oleo
    1/2 c. canned milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add sugar and canned milk.
    Stir until all lumps are gone.
    Bring to a rolling boil (that can't be stirred down). Cook 1 minute.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Let set a few minutes and heat until the right consistency to spread.
    Covers a 3 layer cake.
