Christmas Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. corn syrup
    1 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. candied fruit, chopped
    1/3 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Bring sugar, syrup, milk and salt to boiling point, stirring constantly.
    Cook to soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool; beat until stiff.
    Add vanilla, butter, fruit and nuts.
    Pour into buttered dish.
