Chicken Parmigiana - cooking recipe

1/3 c. dry Italian bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 tsp. Italian seasoning (McCormick)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 egg, beaten
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
3/4 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preparation

Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl. Dip each chicken breast in beaten egg, then roll in bread crumb mixture to coat evenly. Place chicken on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 15 minutes. Turn chicken over. Bake 15 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Spoon tomato sauce over chicken. Sprinkle cheese over top. Bake 3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Makes 4 servings.
