Chocolate Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 3/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. soft margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 egg yolk
3 sq. chocolate, melted
powdered sugar
2/3 c. milk
3/4 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Sift first 5 ingredients together in a bowl and drop in shortening, adding milk and vanilla and mixing on low speed for 2 minutes.
Add eggs and chocolate; beat 1 minute.
Turn into a 9-inch tube pan and bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour 10 minutes.
Just before serving, spoon powdered sugar into top of cake.
