Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising cornmeal
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 medium onion, chopped finely
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. milk
Preparation
    Combine cornmeal, flour, onion and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Gradually beat in milk.
    Drop by spoonfuls into hot oil.
    I use a Fry Baby and fry 4 hush puppies at a time.
    They flip over when brown on one side.
    If you have more than needed, pop the remaining in a freezer bag and freeze.
    Just heat when needed.
