Perfect Meringue - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg whites (at room temperature)
6 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Place egg whites in mixing bowl (don't use plastic).
Add cream of tartar.
Beat at low speed until foamy.
Add sugar, a little at a time, beating at medium high speed until soft peaks form.
Spoon mounds of meringue around outer edge of pie filling.
Spread carefully around edge, being certain that meringue touches inner edge of crust.
Spoon remaining meringue over center of filling; spread to border.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until peaks are golden brown.
Cool pie on wire rack.
