G'Mas Molasses Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening (I use butter)
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add molasses and egg; beat well. Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and salt.
    Add to first mixture.
    Mix well and chill.
    Form into one-inch balls and roll in sugar.
    Place on greased cookie sheet 2-inches apart. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
