Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. cold water
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    few drops red food coloring
    1/2 small pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 pt. hulled strawberries
    8-inch baked pie shell
    whipped topping
Preparation
    Blend sugar and cornstarch. Add small amount of water.
    Mix until smooth. Add corn syrup, salt and rest of water.
    Cook over low heat until thick. Add coloring and gelatin all at once. Cool. Place small amount of cooled mixture in pie shell.
    Arrange berries in shell and cover with rest of gelatin mix. Chill until ready to serve. Top each slice with whipped topping.
