Yellow Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1/4 c. margarine
    4 c. boiling water
    1 cinnamon stick
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. salt
    1 bay leaf
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Stir rice and margarine into boiling water in a saucepan.
    Add cinnamon stick, turmeric, salt and bay leaf.
    Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer.
    Simmer, covered, 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
    Discard cinnamon stick and bay leaf.
    Stir in raisins.
