Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 lb. whole raw cranberries
4 apples, peeled and sliced (a tart, cooking apple)
2 oranges, peeled and sliced
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation

Bring water and sugar to a boil. Add fruit and boil for 5 minutes or until berries pop. Add nuts. Serve for breakfast, hot or serve cold. Serves 8 to 10.
