Perfect Divinity - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. white syrup
1/2 c. warm water
3 egg whites or 1/2 c.
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
nuts if desired
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and syrup in pan, bring to a boil and cook to a hardball stage. While syrup is cooking, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar and salt. Don't beat until dry. When syrup is ready, pour slowly into egg whites and beat with mixer until smooth, at medium speed. Continue to beat until it stands in soft peaks. 10-15 minutes. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.
