Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. uncooked rice
1/2 c. vermicelli
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. garlic
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. basil
1 can chicken broth or beef broth or ham base
sliced mushrooms (optional)
Preparation
-
Saute rice and vermicelli until golden brown.
Add chicken broth and bring to full boil.
Reduce to simmer and add other ingredients and spices.
Stir well and cover on low for 20 to 25 minutes.
