Black Walnut Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. margarine
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs (room tempreature)
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. black walnut flavoring
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
-
Cream margarine
and
Crisco;
add sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
Add flavoring and beat
well.
Mix
1/4
cup
of
flour with nuts. Sift remaining flour
with
baking
powder and add this alternately with milk,
starting
with flour and ending with flour. Fold nuts into
batter.
Do
not
beat.
Bake
in
greased and floured tube pan for 1
hour and 20 minutes or until done in a 325\u00b0 oven.
