Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix thoroughly the shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    (For a softer, rounder cookie, add 1/2 cup flour.)
    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
    Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
    Do not overcook.
    Cookies will be done even though they may look undercooked.
