Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sour cherries (with juice)
    1 small box cherry Jell-O
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple (with juice)
    1/2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Put cherries in pan.
    Add Jell-O and sugar.
    Place on stove and let it get good and hot while stirring constantly.
    Take off stove and add pineapple and nuts.
    Pour into dish and refrigerate.
