Aunt Eva'S Old Fashion Peach Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. melted margarine
    1 egg
    milk
    sliced, sweetened peaches (use fresh or frozen peaches)
Preparation
    Sift first 3 ingredients.
    In a measuring cup, put melted margarine and egg, then finish filling to 1 cup with milk.
    Add to flour mixture and beat well.
    Put into greased and floured 9-inch cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
    Cool.
    Split in half and put peaches between and on top of shortcake.
    Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip.
    Makes a beautiful dish and it is delicious.
