Anise Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. anise flavoring
    food coloring
Preparation
    Mix syrup, water and sugar in a heavy medium-sized saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar is completely dissolved.
    Boil, covered, about 3 minutes; uncover and continue boiling slowly to 310\u00b0.
