Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can coconut
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (I use black walnuts)
    5 egg whites
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and Crisco. Add egg yolks, one at a time. Add soda to milk, then alternately with dry ingredients. Fold in egg whites, vanilla, nuts and coconut. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. Makes 3 layers.
