Granny'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. margarine, softened
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening, margarine and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
    Blend in eggs, vanilla, buttermilk, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Add flour gradually until mixture forms dough which can be easily rolled.
    Roll to 3/8 inch thickness on floured surface.
    Cut as desired.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool on wire rack.
    Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
