White Fruit Cake(From "Old Fashioned Cooking" Canaan Community Cookbook) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. butter
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 lb. white raisins
    1/2 lb. coconut
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 lb. pecans
    1 tsp. vanilla or almond flavoring
    1/2 lb. red and green candied cherries
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Beat in eggs.
    Sift flour and baking powder together.
    Add flour alternately with milk and vanilla. Stir in other ingredients.
    Bake 3 hours at 250\u00b0 in a tube pan. Put water in oven in a pan under cake.
    This fruit cake is very moist.
    Let cool completely before removing from pan.
