Butter Dips - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    2/3 c. milk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 450\u00b0. In a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan, melt butter in oven. Remove when melted. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add milk. Stir until dough forms, about 30 strokes. Turn dough onto floured cloth covered board.
    Roll or pat out to 8 x 8-inch square. Cut in half with floured knife, then each half into ninths. Dip each strip in melted butter on both sides. Slide each piece into place. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 18.
