Nutty Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. finely chopped peanuts
1/2 c. whole bran cereal
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. milk
3 Tbsp. salad oil
2 Tbsp. shredded orange peel
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Preheat oven
to
400\u00b0.
Grease
a
12 cup (2 1/2 cups) muffin pan.
In
medium bowl with fork, mix first six ingredients.
In small bowl, with a fork, beat egg slightly and stir in milk and oil.
Add
egg
mixture all at once to flour mixture.
With
a spoon,
stir
just\tuntil
flour is moistened. (Batter will be lumpy.) Spoon batter into muffin pan cups.\tIn small bowl combine 2 tablespoons shredded orange peel, 1/2 cup chopped nuts
and 1/3 cup sugar.\tSprinkle over muffins.\tBake 25 minutes
or
until golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out almost clean. Servings for 12.
