Apple Butter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lb. apples
1 c. apple juice or cider
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation

Wash and core apples; cut in 8ths.
Put 1/3 cup cider or apple juice and 5 or 6 pieces of apple into blender.
Cover and process until smooth.
Increase speed to blender.
Remove cap and add apple pieces until container is full.
Empty into saucepan. Repeat with remaining cider and apples.
Add sugar and spices to apples.
Cook over low heat about 45 minutes, stirring slightly. Pour into jars.
Process 10 minutes in boiling water.
