Ingredients

1 c. oil
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
4 c. plain flour
Preparation

Combine oil, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Add baking soda, salt, cream of tartar and flour to mixture.
Mix well. Refrigerate over night.
Roll into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Press with glass dipped into sugar.
Bake 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Edges should be light golden brown. Do not over cook.
