Irvin'S Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz) can crushed pineapple
    1 small pkg lime jello
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 (8 oz) cottage cheese (small curds)
    1 (8 oz) cool whip (thawed)
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Mix crushed pineapple (including juice), jello, sugar in saucepan; let cook for 1 minute or until hot. Pour mixture into large bowl and cool completely. Add cottage cheese, cool whip and pecans. Refrigerate over night.
