Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 c. strong coffee
    3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. anise seed
Preparation
    Mix margarine, sugar, eggs and molasses.
    Mix in coffee.
    In a separate bowl, mix together flour, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, baking powder and 2 tablespoons anise seed.
    Mix dry ingredients into coffee mixture.
    It will be sticky so add a little more flour to make dough stiff.
    Roll out thin. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350\u00b0 and watch carefully.
    Make a thin frosting of powdered sugar, water and a drop of vanilla. Frost first, then use colored sprinkles.
