Cranberry Orange Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    juice and rind of 1 orange
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening (I usually use margarine)
    boiling water
    1 beaten egg
    1 c. chopped walnut meats (optional)
    1 c. raw cranberries, cut in pieces
Preparation
    Sift the first 5 ingredients.
    To the juice and rind of orange, add shortening and boiling water to make 3/4 cup.
    Add with egg to dry ingredients.
    You can add walnut meats if you like.
    Add cranberries.
    Mix and pour into a greased, lined bread pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
