Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cooking oil
1 c. buttermilk
3 eggs
1 c. chopped fig preserves and juice
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients; add cooking oil.
Beat well.
Add eggs, one at a time; alternate with milk, then add figs and vanilla.
Bake in tube pan for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
