Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    2/3 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. peanut butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, milk and salt.
    Cook until a soft ball forms when dropped in cold water.
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla and peanut butter.
    Cool for 5 minutes; beat until mixture is creamy and begins to thicken.
    Pour contents into a buttered pan; cut into squares.
    Chopped pecans or walnuts may be added, if desired.
    Yields 1 pound.
