Chili Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 or 10 large tomatoes, chopped
    4 or 5 yellow onions, chopped fine
    1 large green pepper, chopped fine
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. sugar
    2/3 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    dash of cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and cook in heavy pan slowly (simmer) until thick.
    Makes about 2 pints.
