Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg
1 c. hot water, boiling
1/4 c. vegetable oil

Preparation

Mix all together and drop by spoonfuls into very hot oil. Cook until brown.
